QUALIFICATIONS:
Special Education Teacher Certification as Set by State Certification Administration, Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), great interpersonal skills, and exceptional time management skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with students with varying disabilities (autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, etc.) and their teachers to develop behavior interventions/strategies in the classroom setting.
- Conduct assessments (FBA, Social Skills, ) and develop, implement, and train individualized behavior intervention plans (BIP).
- Provide on-going monitoring, analysis and support of Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Conduct parent informational trainings for strategies to use in the
- Complete summaries, graphs, and other reports, as
- Provide training and workshops for staff (administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and assistants) across the district.
- Coordinate care and efforts with other MPS staff to maximize outcomes for students with difficult behavior.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative
- Keep abreast of all pertinent regulations and laws pertaining to the special education
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in relation to school equipment and

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
180 days+ 10 days
Salary to be determined by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Job performance will be evaluated annually by the Director of Behavior Support.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
Must have the dexterity to operate keyboards, computers, copy machines and other office machines.
Ability to walk or move long distances from location to location around different buildings in the district. |
